Hello readers! So here is the Spring issue of TWOJ - full to bursting
as usual with all the latest judo news and features. Since the Winter
issue I've attended the Paris Tournament, which was a great event
as always, with a good deal of British interest this time (see report
on pages 20 - 23) and I also went over to cover the Maltese Open
(page 14).

Taking the short flight from Gatwick to Valetta
allowed
the home country teams to move from the frosty March
weather into the spring temperatures of a Mediterranean
island. The Maltese Open was hosting teams this year
from Italy, Sicily, Cyprus, Russia, Tunisia plus three of the
four home nations, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Saturday January 31st saw the opening of a
purpose-built judo dojo (training hall) at Team
Bath's £23m sports hall on the University of Bath campus.
